FLEXIBLE PACKAGING

Flexible packaging has emerged as a necessity to provide ease of handling and storage, overall cost savings and convenience thus undoubtedly has become a key contributor to packaging’s  continued success.

​

In flexible packaging, each type of substrate layer (Printing layer, Barrier layer & Sealant layer) will  be laminated together forming a packaging film and are produced in roll form or directly as packaging pouch for customers.

EXTRUSION BLOWING LLDPE

Aropak is capable to manufacture mono-layer films as well as  more complex multi-layer films that involve co-extrusion to combine more than one plastic layer into a single film.

​

Table below shows various grades of LLDPE currently used for customers.

Aropak uses gravure  printing as it provides better sharpness, brightness, and colour saturation.

​

Inks selected are of highest standards to cater and provide:

•Reverse printing on flexible film for printing

•Excellent adhesion property and lamination strength

•Less residual solvent on printed material

•Excellent printing effect and printability

•Product resistance towards animal and vegetable fats

•Good scuff resistance

•Low odour and solvent retention

Aropak uses Solvent Based  Adhesive (High Performance  Adhesive ) & Solvent Free  Adhesive  (Special Grade)

SLITTING

Depending on customers’ requirement & application, machine tension setting, width and direction of slit  roll are adjusted accordingly.

CUTTING

After slitting, the rolls will be transferred to cutting  department to form bags. The rolls will be loaded  to the pouching machines and will be folded, cut  and sealed into flexible packaging pouch  according to customer requirement.
